Directions
Set your Louisiana Grill to 300°F and install the Louisiana Grills Griddle top over the burn pot area.
- In a large bowl, mix 5 cracked eggs, heavy cream, and the Maple Walnut Rub – Whisk thoroughly to blend the ingredients
- Add some butter to your griddle top, and then take the chilled banana bread slices and dredge them in the egg mixture on both sides to fully coat, and then place on the hot griddle directly in the melted butter.
- Allow the slices to cook 5-7 minutes until golden brown, and then flip over to cook the other side for the same amount of time
- Once your French toast is done, remove to a serving plate. Top with fresh whipped cream, sliced bananas, and pecans – Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Chill your banana bread before using for this recipe (Maybe even 30 minutes in the freezer) – The bread will cut easier and retain it’s sliced shape better as you dredge and transfer to the griddle.
When making your whip cream, add a tablespoon of Maple Extract for an added bit of flavor.
