Fresh and flavorful, these Grilled Swordfish Steaks make for a quick and healthy seafood dinner. One of the meatiest fish available, swordfish has a firmer texture that makes it perfect for grilling. Its mild, sweet flavor is the perfect base for a variety of marinades and sauces. This version is topped with a smoky Grilled Gremolata of grilled lemon mixed with fresh herbs and garlic.
The light and sweet flavors of our New England Apple Hardwood Pellets will blend nicely with this recipe.
Fire up your Louisiana Grills pellet grill and preheat to 400° F. If using a gas or charcoal grill, set it up for medium-high heat.
Brush swordfish with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Grill 3 minutes per side then remove from grill and set aside.
Slice lemon thin, then grill one minute per side. Transfer to a cutting board to cool, then chop fine.
In a small bowl, whisk the lemon juice, oil, mint, parsley, rosemary, and garlic. Stir in the grilled lemon, then season with salt and pepper, to taste. Set aside.
Plate grilled swordfish and serve warm with gremolata.
Recipe Note
Open your sear plate when the fish is almost done cooking to get a nice char on the skin.
