Ingredients


3 tbsp Butter, Unsalted

1 cup Crimini Mushrooms, sliced thin

8 oz Fresh Mozzarella, sliced thin

1/2 Green Bell Pepper, sliced thin

4 Hoagie Rolls, Sliced lengthwise

1 tbsp Olive Oil

1/2 Red Bell Pepper, sliced thin

2 Ribeye Steaks, 10-12 oz

To Taste, Steak Seasoning

1 Yellow Onion, sliced thin



Cooking Instructions


These mouthwatering Ribeye Sandwiches are easy to make and filled with flavor the whole family will love. The ribeye is seasoned with steak seasoning then grilled until perfectly medium-rare and sliced thinly. While the steak is resting, the mushrooms, onions and peppers are sautéed in a luscious compound butter then tossed with the steak and stacked high on hoagie rolls. Layer with fresh mozzarella cheese and grill until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.

Wood Pellet Recommendation

In order to bring out the most flavor from the steak and the medley of accompanying vegetables in this recipe, we recommend using our Wisconsin Hickory Hardwood Pellets.


 

  1. Fire up your Louisiana Grills pellet grill and with the lid open, set your temperature to SMOKE mode.
  2. Once the fire is lit, preheat to 425° F. If using a gas or charcoal grill, set it up for medium-high heat.
  3. Season steaks generously on each side. Season butter, then mash together with a fork. Set aside.
  4. Open the sear slide and grill steaks 3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill, and set on a cutting board to rest.
  5. Meanwhile, place a large cast iron skillet on the grill. Add olive oil and sauté mushrooms for 2 minutes. Then add half of the compound butter to the skillet, along with onion and peppers. Sauté another 3 minutes.
  6. Thinly slice the steaks then add to the skillet. Add remaining compound butter.
  7. Divide the mixture between hoagie rolls, layering fresh mozzarella on top. Place on the top rack of the grill for 5 to 10 minutes to melt cheese.
  8. Remove sandwiches from the grill and serve warm.
