Cooking Instructions

This Pepper Jack Bacon Burger is juicy and subtly spicy. You’ll want to get a good quality brand of cheese, so those peppery flavors are nice and pronounced, yet balanced by the creamy, jack cheese. Now imagine that mixed with crispy bacon and a deliciously tender burger and you have one dish that bursts with euphoric tastes.

Pepper Jack is a very vibrant tasting cheese. Melted, the peppery cheese infuses well with ground beef as all that tasteful juice from the burger blends. It’s a very rustic cheese that doesn’t get its due.

This burger combined with the open flame from the Louisiana Grills gives your meat a nice char as the flames kiss the grill grates. With short prep and cook times, this is a perfect meal after a hard day's work.

Note: It is recommended to use Mesquite Hardwood Pellets with this recipe.

  1. Start your Louisiana Grill on ''smoke'' with the lid open until a fire is established in the burn pot (3-7 minutes). Preheat to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground chuck, garlic, onion, and pepper. Separate the beef mixtures into about 7 equal bundles and form hamburger patties.
  3. Brush the grate with oil, then add the patties and grill them on about 5-8 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove the burgers from the grill. On the bottom half of the burger bun, add two tomato slices, top with a slice of pepper jack cheese, add the patty,
  5. Place another slice of cheese on top, add two slices of bacon and top it off with the other half of the burger bun and serve.
