Craving authentic Carne Asada street tacos? This recipe incorporates a skirt steak that is marinated in lime, salt, garlic and pepper for zesty, beefy flavors. You can do tacos many different ways on your Louisiana Grills pellet grill, so try this new twist to your personal menu.
Carne Asada literally means grilled meat in Spanish. A typical Carne Asada dish contains either a flank or skirt steak that has been marinated in lime, salt, and other seasonings. The meat is then grilled and is usually sliced or chopped to serve in a taco, burrito, nachos, or on its own with sides of rice and beans.
Place the steak, lime juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper into a large resealable bag, distribute the marinade evenly, and refrigerate for 3-12 hours.
Note: It is recommended to use Texas Mesquite Hardwood Pellets with this recipe.
Remember to slice your skirt steak against the grain for optimal tenderness.
