Although some claim that grilling a turkey isn't very traditional – we would beg to differ! Grilling a turkey on a wood pellet grill is as traditional as fire itself. Enjoy a tender, juicy turkey – cooked to perfection, every time.
Let’s keep it simple this year, and not heat up the kitchen too much.
Start your grill on smoke with the lid open until the fire is established in the burn pot – then preheat your grill to 300° F.
While the grill is heating up, rinse your turkey and pat dry. Whatever flavor combination you like to use – go for it. If you have a special rub you love or a secret recipe (we’d love you to share), then you do you.
If you need some help, we got you! For the full recipe, check out this link. If you’re not a fan of teriyaki, or want something more traditional, swap it out for maple syrup, or brown sugar mixed with water (and/or butter – melted).
Once you’re done seasoning your turkey, place it in an aluminum roasting pan – easy clean up, who doesn’t love that?! Cook your turkey until the internal temperature reaches 165° F (usually 3-4 hours depending on the size).
Let the turkey rest 15-20 minutes before carving.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
